選擇科系是一個學生一生中最重要的時刻之一，但是決定又不是那麼的容易，特別是在你不知道自己對什麼專業領域感興趣的時候。如果你想知道你的決定是否正確或者適合你，可以參考以下六個建議：
1. 積極主動地收集資訊
如果你想知道自己大學專業科系要學什麼，首先不要浪費時間在想像上，要抓緊時間盡量去取得資訊。要讓自己主動起來，去瞭解調查，確定專業範圍再做出明智的選擇。例如去參觀大學、參加大學舉辦的座談會、和職業顧問交談瞭解勞動力市場走向，向你感興趣的專業科系的學長姐或是專業人士諮詢，去了解自己對什麼專業科系更感興趣，什麼專業科系更適合自己，什麼專業科系更有職業前途。
2. 慎重考慮自己未來想做什麼
你的夢想是什麼？我們小的時候都會想，當我們長大了我們要做什麼，但是真的長大了以後我們反而已經忘掉我們的夢想了，或者說夢想已經不是那麼明確了。現在，就是你重新考慮自己未來的時候了。重新思考自己未來要做什麼職業、在哪裡、怎麼做。這些可以分析你需要什麼樣的學術知識來達到你的目標。一旦對這些都瞭解了，那麼選擇一個最接近你目標的專業科系就不是什麼難事了。
3. 工資不是最重要的
如果你願意不領工資來做一項工作，那才是你的真愛！如果你選擇你的科系的目的是高額的薪水，那麼你很有可能會不享受你做的事情，或者在未來對你現在的決定感到後悔。
千萬不要因為看別人的薪水而選擇你大學要學習的科系。並且，行行出狀元。無論你以後從事哪一行，如果你做的成功與出眾，都會有高額的薪水等著你。

4. 自己做決定
不要讓別人替你做決定。你可以參考父母或者朋友的意見，但是，最終的決定必須是你自己做的。心理學家研究後也表示：「當人在為了迎合別人的時候做的決定多數是有問題隱患的；為了滿足父母或別人的寄託，在家中得到父母的認可，甚至，做出完全違背自己初衷的決定。」因此這是不正確的選擇，在未來，很有可能你會不快樂，因為你不是你所希望的樣子。
同時，不要去和別人比較，你就是你，是顏色不一樣的煙火，比較幫不上任何忙，只會讓你變的沮喪。專注於你自己，弄清自己到底要什麼，對自己負責，莫忘初衷。
5. 迫不及待想要開始學習
對學期開始抱著熱情和動力是非常好的跡象。如果你對大學或者學期開始感到滿滿正能量，那是因為你在選擇專業科系上做了一個正確的決定。
6. 別等到開學再開始學習
如果你對你想學的東西感到充滿激情，那就別等到大學開始再學習啦！從最簡單的開始在自己選擇的科系裡展開冒險吧：如果你對攝影感興趣，去照美美的照片吧！如果你想成為飛行員，去收集飛機囉！
